Create a Change Event from an Instruction
Background
If you have issued an instruction that leads to a change event (see A Change Event is any event resulting in a modification that affects the scope of work on a construction project and the project's schedule and/or cost(s). In Procore, a change event can be recorded in the system and precedes the creation of a change order, which allows your team members and stakeholders to prepare for a cost change before it becomes an actual cost.
Things to Consider
Required User Permissions:
'Standard' or 'Admin' permissions on the Instructions tool.
AND'Standard' or 'Admin' permissions on the Change Events tool.
Additional Information:
The Instructions tool has been developed specifically for Procore clients in Australia, New Zealand, and Canada.
The number and title of the instruction are automatically added to the 'Origin' field of the change event.

Steps
Navigate to the project's Instructions tool.
Click View on the instruction you want to create a change event from.
Click + Create Change Event.
Note: You will be redirected to the create page in the Change Events tool.Enter the necessary information for the change event.

Note: The instruction number and title are automatically added to the 'Origin' field of the change event. The title, description, and any attachments that were added to the instruction are also added to the change event.Click Create.
