Manage Comments and Activity in Coordination Issues

Background

Effective communication is crucial for resolving conflicts and ensuring project alignment. Using the Procore web application or the integrated Procore BIM Plugins, users can add and manage comments and snapshots within a Procore co-ordination issue. This includes attaching relevant images to provide a clear visual context for model snapshots.

Things to Consider

  • Required User Permissions:

    • To add, edit, or delete your own comments and attachment activity, 'Read Only' level permissions or higher on the project's Coordination Issues tool.

  • Additional Information:

    • Mention Users: Use the @ symbol to mention other Procore users and send them an email for your comment. See Mention Users in a Coordination Issue Comment.

    • Navigate Snapshots: If a snapshot was added from the Procore BIM Plugin, clicking it navigates you within the model.

    • Paste Images: Paste images directly from your clipboard into the comment box.

    • File Attachments: Supported image attachments include BMP, GIF, JPEG, and PNG.

    • Navisworks Freedom® Limitation: Comments in Procore require the Procore BIM Plugin to function. Because Freedom® is a lightweight viewer designed for offline viewing, it does not support plugins. The Procore Activity feed will not visible in .NWD files when viewing models in Freedom®.
