Create a Timecard
Background
Use the Company level Timecard tool to track employee hours on project tasks. Each entry records the project, cost code, hours, and time type. You can also mark hours as billable, add comments, or save time by copying entries from previous days.
Things to Consider
Multiple timecard entries can be entered within a pay period. They will are added together in the Timecard Pay Period section of the timecard entry.
Timecards created in the company's Timecard tool can also be managed in the company or project level Timesheets tools.
Prerequisites
Users must be marked as an employee in your Company Directory before you can make a timecard for them.
Steps
Navigate to the company's Timecard tool.
Click the gray employee name bar, and select the employee you want to create a timecard for.
Select the end date of the pay period.
Day. The date for the timecard entry.
Project. The project the timecard is for.
Cost Code. The cost code for the scope of work.
Hours. The number of hours this person worked
Time Type. The type of pay.
Note: If you select 'Automatically Apply', the time type will reflect the overtime rules configured for the project. See Configure Overtime Rules for Timesheets.Billable?. Whether or not the hours are billable.
Comments. Any comments related to the timecard.
Click Save.
