When should I Rerun Distill in Clash Manager?

You should rerun Distill whenever you receive updated models. As coordination progresses, model updates inevitably lead to new clashes or resolve existing ones.

To ensure your clash groups are current:

• Update your models in Navisworks®.

• Run Update All in the Clash Detective to generate the latest clash results.

• Rerun Distill in Clash Manager.

You can repeat this cycle until Clash Manager finds no new clashes and all existing issues are resolved.

How Rerunning Distill Affects Your Data Rerunning Distill is designed to be non-destructive to your existing work:

• Existing Groups are Safe: The system does not overwrite existing groups or change any manual edits you have made to them.

• Smart Append: New clashes are added to existing groups if they meet your grouping criteria. When this happens, the system automatically adds a comment noting who performed the action and when.

• New Groups: If new clashes do not fit into any existing groups, the system creates new groups for them.
