What is the Public Bidding feature in Procore?

The Public Bidding feature lets general contractors and owners publish public projects for bidding on the Procore Construction Network. Vendors can search for these projects, filter by trade or location, and request to bid all within Procore.

Who can use the Public Bidding feature?

• Solicitors (GCs/Owners/Specialty Contractors): Publish and Manage public projects to increase bid coverage. See Enable Public Discovery.

• Bidders (Vendors/Subcontractors): Search and Request to bid on active projects in your area. See Search for Projects to Bid on in Procore Construction Network.

How it Works: The Public Bidding Workflow

Will my Bid Package stay on Procore Construction Network?

Yes, Bid Packages will remain public on the Procore Construction Network but will transition to a Bidding Closed status, disabling the option to contact the solicitor or download documents from the project details page. The Bidding Closed status is triggered when a package is manually set to 'Closed', or when the due date passes without the solicitor enabling late bid submissions.

How can I completely remove a bid package from Procore Construction Network?

If you do not want any record of a past bid package to remain visible on Procore Construction Network, you have two options to remove it:

• Turn off Public Discovery: You can disable the Enable Public Discovery feature. This hides the bid package from public view while maintaining the data within your Procore account.

• Delete the Bid Package: You can choose to delete the bid package entirely. This action is permanent and removes the package from both the Procore Construction Network and Procore altogether.
  

Is the Public Bidding feature available everywhere?

Currently, this feature is available for projects in the United States only.
