Export a Bill of Materials

Exporting a Bill of Materials allows you to share estimate data with external stakeholders or perform advanced data analysis in Microsoft Excel. You can choose to export the data as a flat list for simple sorting or as a grouped list to maintain the organization of your project plans.

• Required User Permissions:

  • ‘Standard’ or ‘Admin’ level permissions on the project’s Estimating tool.

• Additional Information:

  • The export includes all cost items currently added to your estimate.

  • Files are exported in the .xlsx file name extension.

1. Navigate to the Bid Board or Portfolio Planning tool and select the project.
   OR
   Navigate to the project's Estimating tool.

2. Cick the Estimating tab.

3. Click Export at the top.

4. Hover over Bill of Materials (BoM).

5. Select one of the following options:

   • Export Bill of Materials as Flat List to Excel: Downloads a simple list of all items.

   • Export Bill of Materials as List Grouped by Plan to Excel: Downloads a list organized by your plan groups.
