Create Items from Photos (Android)

• Additional Information:

  • You can create items for the following tools: Daily Log, Change Events, Correspondence, Incidents, Observations, Punch List, RFI, T&M Tickets, and Tasks.

You can create an item from:

• Camera Mode

• Photo Gallery

Create an Item from Camera Mode

1. Do one of the following:

   • Tap the Camera tool in the Procore app using an Android mobile device.

   • Tap the Tools screen and locate the Photos tool. Tap the Create icon. Then tap Camera.

2. Take the photo.

   • Take a photo without mark up.

     1. Tap the shutter to take a photo.

   • Take a photo with mark up.

     1. Tap the mark up icon to take the photo and immediately mark it up.

     2. Tap the shutter to take a photo.

     3. Mark up the photo.

     4. Do one of the following:

        • If you want to save both the original and marked up photo, mark the Save as New Photo option, then tap Save.

        • If you want to only save your marked up photo, clear the Save as New Photo option, then tap Overwrite.

3. Tap the photo thumbnail to open the recent photos tray.

4. Tap Select to and tap the Photos you are creating an item from.

5. Tap Create Item.

6. Select the item you want to create.
   Note: 'Standard' level permission is required on the tool where you are creating an item.

7. Fill out the necessary fields for the item you are creating.

   • Daily Log Entry

   • Daily Log Photos Entry

   • Change Event

   • Correspondence Item

   • Incident

   • Observation

   • Punch List Item

   • RFI

   • T&M Ticket

   • Task

8. Tap Create or Save to finishing creating the item.
   
   Note: If a workflow is applied to the correspondence item, creating the item automatically triggers the start of the assigned workflow.

Create an Item from Photo Gallery

1. Navigate to the project's Photos tool in the Procore app using an Android mobile device.

2. Tap the Tools screen.

3. Tap the Photos tool.

4. Optional: Tap the Album , Timeline , Feed , or Map icon to change your view.
   Note: The icon changes based on the view that is currently selected.

5. Open the photo you are creating an item from.
   Note: In the Album view, you can select multiple photos by tapping the album that contains the photos, then long press a photo to begin selecting multiple photos
   OR
   you can select a single photo from the Feed , Timeline , and Map views.

6. Tap Create Item.

7. Select the item you want to create.
   Note: 'Standard' level permission is required on the tool where you are creating an item.

8. Fill out the necessary fields for the item you are creating.

   • Daily Log Entry

   • Daily Log Photos Entry

   • Change Event

   • Correspondence Item

   • Incident

   • Observation

   • Punch List Item

   • RFI

   • T&M Ticket

   • Task

9. Tap Create or Save to finishing creating the item.
