Add Conditional Logic to a Company Level Inspection Template

Background

Conditional logic helps you create smarter inspection templates by showing or hiding specific questions based on the answers provided. This dynamic process ensures inspectors only see fields relevant to their current findings, which reduces clutter and helps them stay focused.

For example, if an inspector marks a safety item as 'Failed,' you can set the template to automatically display a required field for a photo attachment or follow-up action. This ensures your team captures the exact data needed for your project's quality standards without filling out unnecessary information.

Things to Consider

  • Required User Permissions

  • Additional Information

    • Section Requirement: You can only apply logic to items within the same inspection section.

    • Limit: You can add a maximum of four conditions to a single item.

    • Excluded Response Types: You cannot add conditional logic to 'Number,' 'Text,' 'Signature,' or 'Date' response types.

    • Change History: Procore tracks changes to conditional logic in the template's change history.

    • Template Sync: Logic added at the Company level applies to all new project inspections created from the template.

    • Project Level Logic: You can also add logic to individual templates at the Project level.
