Create a Project Permissions Template

Background

Project permission templates let you quickly assign permissions to users for project level tools. You can assign users 'None', 'Read Only', 'Standard', or 'Admin' access to each project level tool. For some tools, you can also assign granular permissions to perform specific actions.

There are two types of project permissions templates in Procore:

  • A global permission template can be assigned to any user on any project in your company's Procore account. Global permissions templates are created and managed in the company's Permissions tool.

  • A project specific permission template can only be assigned to a user who has been added to the corresponding project. Project specific permissions templates are created in either the company's Permissions tool or in the Project level Directory tool and managed in the company's Permissions tool.
