Create a Project Permissions Template
Background
Project permission templates let you quickly assign permissions to users for project level tools. You can assign users 'None', 'Read Only', 'Standard', or 'Admin' access to each project level tool. For some tools, you can also assign granular permissions to perform specific actions.
There are two types of project permissions templates in Procore:
A global permission template can be assigned to any user on any project in your company's Procore account. Global permissions templates are created and managed in the company's Permissions tool.
A project specific permission template can only be assigned to a user who has been added to the corresponding project. Project specific permissions templates are created in either the company's Permissions tool or in the Project level Directory tool and managed in the company's Permissions tool.
Things to Consider
Procore's permission levels (None, Read Only, Standard, and Admin) define what actions users can perform and what information they can view in each Procore tool.
You can grant task-based granular permissions for some tools. See Which Procore tools support granular permissions?
From the project Directory tool, you can create project-specific permissions templates. See Create a Project Specific Permissions Template from the Project Directory.
A project permissions template cannot have the same name as a company permissions template.
Some tools require specific granular permissions to be enabled for their permissions levels.
