Import Locations Using the Procore BIM Plugin with Revit
Instead of manually recreating floor plans and room hierarchies, the Procore BIM Plugin lets you sync your project's location data from your "Source of Truth"—your Autodesk® Revit® model—directly into Procore. This ensures that field teams, architects, and all stakeholders are using identical terminology and location data, whether they are tracking a deficiency in the field or viewing a model in the office.
Things to Consider
Additional Information:
Importing adds new locations without replacing existing ones. To make changes, use Edit Tiered Locations.
There are multiple ways to add locations to Procore projects. For details, see Add Locations to a Project.
Prerequisites
To import locations from Autodesk® Revit®, you must first turn ON the Allow Location Creating setting. See Allow or Disallow Users to Create Locations within a Tool.
Steps
Start Autodesk® Revit® on your Windows® computer.
Open the model that contains the locations to import.
Click the Procore tab to launch the Procore BIM Plugin.
Click Export Locations.
Select the destination company and project.
Note
If you don't have sufficient permission to add locations to the Locations utility in the Project Admin tool, an error message appears in the footer.
Verify the summary of levels and rooms, then click Next.
Note
If duplicate locations are detected, you can click Cancel to stop the import or Yes, Continue to publish all unique locations.
