Download the Procore Documents Plugin for Autodesk®

The Documents plugin for Autodesk® allows users to export content directly from Revit® or AutoCAD® to the Documents tool in Procore. See Getting Started Guide: Documents Plugin for Autodesk. Additionally, files in documents can be opened and appended into Navisworks® and then saved to the Documents tool. This integration helps empower team members to keep files up to date and reduce the risk of rework.

• Required User Permissions:

  • 'Read Only' or higher level permissions to the project's Documents tools. Note: Users must also be added to permissions lists as necessary for private files and folders in the project's Documents tool.

• Additional Information:

  • You must have access to Autodesk® Navisworks® Manage.

  • The plugin application can only be installed on Windows computers.

  • Support Lifecycle Policy

    Procore aligns its support lifecycle with Autodesk’s active versioning to ensure the best possible experience. While its plugins may function on older versions (e.g., 2019), official support is categorized as follows:

    • Active Support (Versions 2022–2026) Procore offers comprehensive support for these versions, covering everything from plugin-specific inquiries to fixes for underlying Autodesk® dependencies.

    • Limited Support (Versions 2020–2021) Procore provides support for issues specific to the Procore BIM plugin, but cannot address stability issues caused by the Autodesk® platform itself.

1. Download the plugin application to your Windows computer. Note: You can also download the plugin from the Coordination Issues tool by clicking Download Plugin and selecting Documents Plugin for Autodesk.

2. Click the downloaded .msi application file on your computer to begin setting up the plugin.

3. Click Run or Save.

4. Click Yes to allow Procore to make changes to your device. Note: You will need Administrator rights to your computer.

5. Log in to Procore using your login credentials.

6. Open Navisworks®, Revit®, or AutoCAD® applications on your computer. A 'Procore' tab will be viewable in the application.
