Import Viewpoints to Coordination Issues with the Procore BIM Plugin

Importing viewpoints from Navisworks® to Procore helps your teams transition from using a viewpoints workflow to using the Procore Coordination Issues tool and plugin. Imported viewpoints will be created as issues in the Coordination Issues tool so they can be tracked and managed in Procore.

  • When you import a viewpoint, its data maps directly to the new coordination issue:

    • Title. Becomes the issue title.

    • Comments. Moves to the issue description.

    • Markups: Included on the issue (except cloud markups).

  • To prevent duplicate issues, the Procore BIM Plugin hides folders you have already imported.

1. Open the Autodesk® Navisworks® application on your Windows® computer.

2. Click the Procore tab to open the Procore BIM Plugin.

3. Open the model you want to import viewpoints from.

4. In the Procore BIM Plugin, click the ellipsis icon to open the drop-down menu.

5. Click Import from Viewpoints.

6. Choose an option:

   • To select a single viewpoint, mark the checkbox next to that viewpoint.

   • To select a folder containing multiple viewpoints, mark the checkbox next to the folder.

   • To import all viewpoints, click Select All.

7. Complete the following fields as applicable:

   1. Status: Select Open to create new issues that require action, or select Closed to log historical issues that are already resolved.

   2. Assignee: Select a project collaborator to resolve the issue.

   3. Location: Select the relevant project location from the drop-down menu.

8. Click Create. The system automatically creates coordination issues in your Procore project from the selected viewpoints.
