Configure Payroll Settings for Timesheets

Things to Consider

Prerequisites

  • Your company must enable Procore's Resource Management tools.

  • Your company must have Procore's Resource Management license.

Steps

  1. Navigate to the company's Timesheets tool.

  2. Click the Configure Settings icons-settings-gear.png icon.

  3. Click the Payroll tab.

  4. Update the settings under the following sections:

    • Payroll Settings

      • Select your company's Default Work Week from the drop-down menu.

    • Manage Time Types

      1. Mark the checkbox next to the time types you want to show in the Timesheets tool.

      2. Optional: To add a new time type, enter the Type and Abbreviation, then click Add.

    • Payroll Export Settings

      1. If your company uses a supported payroll system, select it from the drop-down menu to transfer time from Company Timesheets.

        • QuickBooks® Desktop (2021 or before)
Select this option for all versions of QuickBooks® Desktop when you also use QuickBooks® Time. (This includes QuickBooks® Desktop for 2022 and after when you also use QuickBooks® Time.)

          1. Drag and drop the Timer List IIF File you exported from QuickBooks® Desktop 'Attach Files' area.

            • The IIF file provides Procore with the data table information it requires to successfully export your Procore time entry data to QuickBooks® Desktop at a later time.

               Important

If the IIF file contains data, the Time Types and Employee Names in QuickBooks® Desktop must exactly match the Time Types and User/Contact Names in Procore.

        • Quickbooks® (2022 or after)

          • If you choose this option, you can attach the IIF file that you exported Procore's Company level Timesheets.

          • This option is intended for customers who upgraded to QuickBooks® Desktop 2022 or after without purchasing Quickbooks® Time.

             Important

If the IIF file contains data, the Time Types and Employee Names in QuickBooks® Desktop must exactly match the Time Types and User/Contact Names in Procore.

        • Sage 300 CRE®

          • If you choose this option, the columns in your time entry view in Sage 300 CRE® must exactly match the information displayed in the Columns in the Sage 300 CRE® box.

          • It is important to note that any items that are shaded in GRAY may not be available in Procore. To learn more, see Set Up Your Payroll Export for Use with Sage 300 CRE®.
