Navigate and Copy Data in a Budget or Forecasting View
Background
Procore's budget and forecasting tables provide precise cell-level focusing, full keyboard navigation, multi-cell selection, context-menu copying (including cell data, column headers, and group structures), and a side panel for viewing cell details while keeping the budget table accessible.

'Read Only' level permissions or higher on the Project level Budget tool.
Steps
Navigate and Select Cell Data
In the budget or forecasting view, you can work with table cells directly:
Focus on a Single Cell: Click on any cell value (e.g., Job to Date Costs or Accrued Costs). A distinct focus box will highlight the selected cell.
View Cell Details: Click any hyperlinked cell value to open its detail panel, which stays open as you navigate and select data in the main table. For the Forecast To Complete column, click the bottom panel view
icon or side panel view
icon to dock the panel to the bottom or the side of the table. Keyboard Navigation: Use the arrow keys (
↑,↓,←,→) on your keyboard to move focus between adjacent cells and rows.Select a Range of Data: Click and hold the left mouse button on the starting cell, then drag across adjacent rows and columns to highlight a blue selection box over multiple budget line items.
Note: You can also use the Shift key along with the arrow keys (↑,↓,←,→) on your keyboard.
Copy Selected Data
After highlighting the required cell range:
Right-click anywhere inside the highlighted blue selection box to open the context menu.
Select one of the available copy options:
Copy (
Ctrl+C/Cmd+C): Copies only the raw numerical/text values within the highlighted cells.Copy With Headers: Copies the highlighted values along with their corresponding column headers (e.g., Job to Date Costs, Accrued Costs, and Total Costs).
Copy with Group Headers: Copies the selection along with parent category and summary header titles.
Open your target external application (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, or a text editor).
Right-click and select Paste or press
Ctrl+V/Cmd+Von your keyboard to paste the data.
