View Document Management Metrics from the Project Home Design Management Hub in the Document Management Tool

The Design Management tab integrates your project's Document Management data into the centralized Project Home experience. This tab surfaces key visual metrics, such as document status distributions and bottlenecked review workflows. These dashboards allow project managers and document controllers to quickly triage action items without navigating directly into the core Document Management tool.

• Required User Permissions:

  • Design Management tab: Anyone with access to the project.

  • Document Management Analytics Cards: 'Standard' or 'Admin' level permissions to the project's Document Management tool. Users with 'None' permissions will not see data cards.

• Additional Information:

  • The data displayed in the analytics charts is dynamically scoped based on your Document Management permission group settings. You will only see counts for files and workflows you have explicit access to view.

1.  Navigate to the project's Project Home tool.

2. Click the Design Management tab.

3. View the following analytics cards:

   • Documents by Status: Displays a pie chart breaking down project documents by their current validation status, along with explicit percentage readouts.
     

     Tip

     Click View All to launch the full Document Management list view in a new browser tab.

   • Workflows by Role / Ball in Court: Displays a line chart tracking 'In Review' and 'Overdue' workflows distributed by project roles, alongside an Assigned To Me metric tracking your personal items.

4. (Optional) To identify specific items causing a role bottleneck:

   • Locate the target role on the horizontal axis of the Workflows by Role line chart.

   • Click the role-specific View All button directly on that data point. 

   • Review the modal overlay displaying the specific:

     • Document Name

     • Current Workflow Step

     • Current Workflow Assignee

     • Due Date
