Assign Configurable Fieldsets to Asset Types

Fieldsets determine what information is captured for an asset. You can use Procore's default fieldset or create custom ones with standard fields, custom fields, and tailored dropdown options.

• Required User Permissions

• You can change the fieldset assigned to an Asset Type at any time. After reassignment, the Asset Creation Form and Asset Detail page will display only the fields from the new fieldset. Fields from the previous fieldset will not appear anymore. 

  • Any common field shared between the old and new fieldset retains its values. 

  • New fields appear blank and must be completed if marked mandatory. 

  • Previous fields reappear with their saved values if the old fieldset is assigned again.

• Create New Configurable Fieldsets

1. Navigate to the Company level Admin tool.

2. Under 'Tool Settings', click Assets.

3. Click the Fieldsets tab.

4. Locate the configurable fieldset you want to apply to asset types.

5. Click the link in the 'Assigned Asset Types' column.

6. Select which asset types to assign this fieldset.

7. Click Assign.

8. Click Save Changes to confirm.
