What are the differences between Procore AI, Assist, Agent Builder, and Datagrid?

Answer

Procore AI is construction-trained AI that helps your team find information, make decisions, and get work done. Built on 20+ years of construction data, it understands the drawings, RFIs, submittals, and workflows your projects actually run on — not generic AI applied to construction, but AI built for it. Procore AI shows up wherever the work happens:

  • In the Procore side panel, where anyone on a project can ask questions across their project data, analyze documents and photos, and deploy specialized agents that draft and update work for review. This is available through the Digital Coworker packages — Starter Pack, Pro, and Enterprise — which scale from a set of ready-to-use agents to building your own. Learn more.

  • Built into Procore tools, making construction workflows more efficient.

  • Across your broader tech stack with Datagrid, the standalone product that extends Procore AI to data from many sources, with or without Procore. Learn more.

However you use it, Procore AI keeps your team in control: it cites its sources, and every action it proposes is staged for human review before anything changes. The goal is faster decisions and less manual work, grounded in your own project data.

Assist and Agent Builder

Procore Assist and Agent Builder were Procore's first-generation AI products. These beta products helped users navigate the platform and conduct simple tasks.

  • Current Status: These tools are now in maintenance mode and are no longer accepting new customers.

  • Existing Customers: If you currently have Assist or Agent Builder in your contract, you can continue to use them for the time being. Credits are not required for their use.

  • Sunsetting & Transition:

    • Procore Assist: Updates for Assist were discontinued in January 2026. Procore will sunset Assist once key capabilities are integrated into the new Procore AI experience and existing users receive a 60-day notice.

    • Agent Builder: We recommend transitioning to Procore AI for your agent needs. The AI's reasoning engine and agent customization options are more advanced while still being available within Procore.
