Elevate a Coordination Issue to an RFI

Durante la fase de coordinación de un proyecto, los conflictos y otros problemas de construcción a menudo se identifican y rastrean como problemas de coordinación. Sin embargo, algunos problemas no se pueden resolver de manera informal o pueden requerir una respuesta contractual formal de un miembro del equipo de diseño u otra parte parte interesadas clave. Cuando un problema de coordinación requiere una pregunta y respuesta oficial documentada, debe elevarse a una solicitud de información (RFI). Esto garantiza que se realice un seguimiento formal de la consulta en la herramienta RFI del proyecto y que la respuesta pase a formar parte del registro oficial del proyecto, proporcionando las aclaraciones necesarias que podrían afectar al coste, la planificación o el alcance.

El estado del problema se actualiza automáticamente según el progreso de la RFI:

• Elevado: el estado del problema cambia a "Elevado" tan pronto como se vincula a una RFI. El estado vuelve a Elevado si la RFI se vuelve a abrir sin una respuesta "oficial".

• Liberado: el estado cambia a "Liberado" después de que alguien añada una respuesta "oficial" a la RFI. El estado sigue siendo Liberado si la RFI se vuelve a abrir una vez que se registra la respuesta "Oficial".

• Required User Permissions:

  • You need both of the following:

    • 'Admin' level permissions on the project's Coordination Issues tool.

    • 'Standard' or 'Admin' level permissions on the project's RFIs tool. Note: Users with 'Standard' level permissions on the project's Coordination Issues and RFIs tools can elevate issues they have created to an RFI.

Follow these steps to elevate an issue to a new or existing RFI.

1. Navigate to the project's Coordination Issues tool.

2. Click the Issue link to open it in the Issue [#] panel.

Elevate to RFI

1. Click the icon and choose Elevate to RFI > Elevate to New RFI.

2. In the New RFI panel, complete the required fields and add optional information as needed.

   Subject	Enter a clear, descriptive title for the RFI.	Yes	This title identifies the RFI in the main list.
   Question	Provide the detailed question.	Yes	Include all necessary context to help assignees and reviewers provide an accurate answer.
   Drawings	Link relevant project drawings from the Drawings or Document Management tool.	No	If using Drawing Areas, select the area first, choose the drawings, and click Add.
   Attachments	Upload supporting files or photos	No	Any existing views or attachments will be automatically linked to the RFI.
   Location	Select the specific project location from the dropdown.	No	To create new options, refer to Add Locations to a Project.
   RFI Manager	Assign the RFI Manager for this request	Yes	Select from users with 'Admin' permissions on the RFIs tool. The default project manager will auto-populate, if available. See What is the RFI Manager role?

3. Click Create Draft.
   A confirmation banner appears with a link to the draft. An 'Admin' on the RFIs tool must set the RFI's status to Open to start the workflow. You cannot close or re-elevate the original issue until the new RFI is closed.

Elevate to Existing RFI

1. Click the icon and choose Elevate to RFI > Elevate to Existing RFI.

2. In the Select an RFI panel, search for the RFI by number or subject.

3. Click the desired RFI in the list.

4. Click Elevate to this RFI.
