Manage Project Dates for the Project Home Page

The Project Overview has replaced the legacy Project Home page and is enabled by default. Learn more about the difference between the legacy Project Home page and the new Project Overview.

To return to the legacy Project Home, Company Administrators can navigate to the Company Portfolio / Procore Home tool, click Manage Settings and toggle Project Overview Icon Toggle OffOFF.

However, later this year it will be sunset and will no longer be available. If your company reverted to the legacy Project Home experience, Company Administrators can re-enable the Project Overview experience in Procore Explore. (US 2 | UK)

Background

With the company's Admin tool, you can create a standardized list of project dates in your company's account. Then, when configuring a project's Home page, you can assign a calendar date to each 'Project Date'. These dates will then display on the 'Project Dates' area of the Project Home page. This feature keeps your project team members informed of important events and project targets.

Things to Consider

  • Required User Permissions:

    • 'Admin' level permissions to the Project Home page.

Prerequisites

Steps

  1. Navigate to the Project Overview.

    • Navigate to the project's Home to be redirected to the Project Overview.

    • Click Menu and select Project Overview.

  2. In the 'Project Dates' section, click the vertical ellipsis Icon Vertical Ellipsis and select Edit Project Dates.

    • Edit Timeline

      1. Enter baseline and actual dates for each date that you want to include.

    • Show / Hide Timeline Dates

      1. Move the toggles Icon Toggle On ON or Icon Toggle Off OFF to show or hide the dates on the Project Overview.

  3. Click Save.

Project Home (Legacy)

  1. Navigate to the project's Home page.

  2. Click the Configure Settings Icons Settings Gear icon.

  3. Click Project Dates.

  4. Choose from the following:

    • If you want the date to display on the project's Home page, select a date from the calendar.

    • If you want to omit the date from the project's Home page display, leave the calendar blank.

  5. Click Update.
