How are Procore Maps basemap images sourced?

Answer

The basemap imagery in Procore Maps is provided by Mapbox and is sourced from a combination of commercial providers and open data organizations. Depending on zoom level and geographic location, imagery may be provided by Maxar, Vexcel, NASA, or the USGS.

  • NASA MODIS satellite data is used at lower zoom levels, while Maxar and NASA/USGS Landsat imagery is used at mid-range zoom levels.

  • Maxar's Vivid product is used for higher zoom levels, and Vexcel aerial imagery is incorporated at the highest zoom levels over North American and some European cities.

  • Open aerial imagery is also used for the highest zoom levels in various other countries.
