What's the difference between Procore's user import and vendor/company import templates?
User Import Template
Use Procore's User Import Template to add or update user records and link them to a new or existing vendor. User records store essential profile details for anyone collaborating in your Procore account, including their name, contact information, and permission template.
Note
When creating a new vendor with this template, you can only add the vendor name. To add or update additional vendor details, use the Vendor Import Template.
Vendor Import Template
Use Procore's Vendor Import Template to add or update vendor /company records for your subcontractors, suppliers, and business partners. These records store essential company details, including its address, main contacts, trades, cost codes, bidding, and insurance information.
What Should I Import First?
It depends on your setup, and you can re-import templates anytime to update records.
If Procore does not yet contain your vendors, import vendors first so you can assign users to their company during the user import. Because vendor records also include primary and bid contacts, re-import your vendor file after importing users to link those contacts.
