Why does a Clash Manager coordination issue navigate to the wrong location?

Background

When you click a coordination issue in the panel, the Clash Manager plugin finds the associated clash in the Navisworks® Clash Detective. The detective then moves your camera to the specific viewpoint saved with that clash. This helps you quickly locate and inspect the issue directly in the model.

Answer

If clicking a coordination issue in Clash Manager takes you to an unexpected location, it means the viewpoint location for that clash is incorrect in Clash Detective.

Explanation

How to fix this issue in Navisworks® Clash Detective

The Auto-Update feature was enabled in Clash Detective and saves viewpoints as you navigate

When this feature is enabled in Clash Detective, it automatically saves your live camera position as the viewpoint for any selected clash. Because this happens continuously as you navigate, it's easy for a viewpoint to be unintentionally saved in an unexpected location. When you click a coordination issue created in Clash Manager, the Procore BIM Plugin sends a command to Clash Detective. In response, Clash Detective selects the associated clash and moves your camera to the last saved viewpoint for that clash.

In Clash Detective, choose one of these methods:

  • Find the specific clash that corresponds to your coordination issue in Procore. Next, manually navigate to the correct position in the model and update the clash viewpoint with the corrected position.
    OR

  • Delete the incorrect viewpoint from the clash.
