Manage Related Items

Related Items allows you to link an asset to other relevant records across Procore, such as Observations, Incidents, Punchlist, Submittals, Inspections, RFIs and Assets, providing additional context and improving traceability throughout the asset’s lifecycle.

Linking related items helps ensure all relevant information is accessible directly from the asset record, reducing the need to navigate between tools.

To link related items to an asset:

1. Navigate to the asset’s Details view and open the Related Items tab.

2. Click Link Items.

3. Choose the Procore tool for example, Inspections, Submittals, Assets, and so on.

4. Select one or more items to link to the asset.

5. Click Next.

6. On the details screen, add an optional note and click Link.

2. View all linked items along with key details.

3. Click the name of a related item to open it in its respective Procore tool.

Users with 'Standard' or 'Admin' permissions can remove related items when they are no longer relevant.

1. Navigate to the asset’s Details view and open the Related Items tab.

2. Click Unlink next to the related item.

3. A confirmation prompt will appear to prevent accidental unlinking. Click Remove Link to confirm.

Note: All link and unlink actions are recorded in the asset’s Change History for audit purposes.
