Troubleshoot Missing Mouse Cursor in Procore Drive
Background
This issue is caused by a conflict between a recent update to the Microsoft Edge WebView2 Runtime (build 152.0.4191.53) and Windows pointer settings. While mouse clicks are still recognized by the application, the pointer icon fails to render on screen. This is an external runtime conflict and is not a defect native to Procore Drive.
Things to Consider
Permissions: Administrative access on your Windows device may be required to run the update utility.
Scope: Applies to Procore Drive desktop applications running on Windows OS.
Steps
You can perform any one of the following options:
Option 1: Adjust Pointer Settings in Windows
Open the Windows Start menu and search for Mouse Properties.
OR
Navigate to Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Mouse > Additional mouse settings.Select the Pointer Options tab.
Under Visibility, clear the Hide pointer while typing checkbox.
Click Apply, and then click OK.
Relaunch Procore Drive to confirm the cursor is visible.
Option 2: Update Microsoft Edge WebView2 Runtime
If adjusting the mouse settings does not resolve the issue, manually trigger an update to pull the latest WebView2 Runtime build containing the fix (build 152.0.4191.62 or higher):
Close all active instances of Procore Drive.
Open File Explorer on your computer.
Navigate to: C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft\EdgeUpdate
Double-click MicrosoftEdgeUpdate.exe to check for and install the latest WebView2 updates.
Once the process completes, relaunch your Procore desktop application.
Option 3: Perform a User-Level Reinstall
If the cursor is still not visible after updating settings and system runtimes:
Uninstall Procore Drive from your computer.
Reinstall the application as a user-level install (rather than a system-wide install).
Clear the application cache if prompted during setup.
Next Steps
If the issue persists after attempting all resolution options, contact Procore Support.
