Configure Default Field Values for Asset Types

To keep your data consistent, you can set default values for fields like Trade, Status, Latitude, and Longitude. The system automatically applies these values whenever you create a new asset.

• Deleting a default value rule stops the system from applying it to future assets. It will not alter or remove any data already populated on your existing assets.

1. Navigate to the Company level Admin tool.

2. Under 'Tool Settings', click Assets.

3. Click the Types tab.

4. Click the edit icon for the asset type.

5. Click the Defaults tab.

6. Select a field:

   • Latitude

   • Longitude

   • Trade

   • Status

7. Select a default value.

8. Optional: Mark the 'Read Only' checkbox to prevent the value from being edited in the Assets tool.

9. Click Save.
