Reset the Field of View in a Model
Navigating a complex 3D model can occasionally cause you to lose your orientation or perspective. Resetting the view instantly restores the camera to its baseline coordinates so you can resume your visual inspection from a clear, known starting point.
Things to Consider
Prerequisites
Open a model within the viewer interface.
Adjust your camera angel by zooming, panning, or changing your perspective inside the active view.
Steps
Navigate to the project's Models tool.
Locate the model's tile and click the tile to open it. Depending on the file size, it may take a few minutes to load.
Tip
Are you seeing the 'Field of View Modified' label immediately upon opening a brand-new model? If so, this is typically due to a difference between Procore’s standard camera settings and the default view settings saved in the original design software (such as Autodesk® Revit® or Navisworks®). Because the Models tool prioritizes the original file's saved perspective, it flags the difference as "modified." To learn more about the Field of View, see Why does my Procore model say Field of View Modified and look distorted or zoomed in?
If you see the Field of View Modified label at the lower left corner, click Reset.
