Manage Contextual Help Links

Background

In the Procore application, you can add a button for users to access a support article that is relevant to their screen or Procore task. This can help people get more out of Procore. This tutorial guides Admin in adding, editing, and deleting these in-app links.

The Help button that companies can add to some Procore application pages that brings user to a relevant support article.

Things to Consider

Required User Permissions:

  • 'Admin' level permissions on the Company level Admin tool.

Steps

  1. Navigate to the Company level Admin tool.

  2. Under 'Tool Settings,' click Contextual Help.

  3. Find the category you want to edit:

Default Support Site

Your default support site is the version of the Procore support articles available to users of your Procore application. If you purchased Training Center, it's listed here. Otherwise, your default support site is the generally available one. Regardless of which version of the support site you have, you can edit the support site landing page for your users' different locales. Choose an action:

  • Click Edit to modify a default support site URL.

  • Click the URL to visit the support site landing page for a specific locale.

Contextual Help Links

Add, edit, or delete in-app links to the support site. Choose an action: ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

  • Click the + Create button to add the Contextual Help button to a page of the Procore application.

  • Click the Edit icon-edit2.png icon to view or modify what support article is linked from that page of the Procore application.

  • Click the Delete icon-delete-trash6.png icon to remove the Contextual Help button from that page of the Procore application.

  • Click a URL to visit that page of the Procore application.
