Add Phone Call Entries (Android)

Background

The Phone Calls section allows you to log all calls made and participants involved in the call. You can use this section to log phone calls that are not considered meetings but cover topics requiring documentation.

    • This action can be performed in offline mode (i.e. when an active network connection is not available on your mobile device). Tasks performed in offline mode will be synced with Procore once a network connection has been reestablished.

    • Users can also automatically save a call's information to a Phone Calls entry from the Directory tool.

    • You can configure which items are created using the quick create Icon Plus Quick Create Mobile2 icon. To learn more, see Configure Quick Create Settings.

Steps

  1. Open the Procore app on an Android mobile device and select a project.
    The Tools screen loads, displaying all tools available for this project.

  2. Tap the quick createIcon Plus Quick Create Mobile2icon and select Phone calls.
    OR
    Tap the Daily Log tool. Tap the createIcon Plus Quick Create Mobile2icon, then tap Phone Calls.

  3. Tap into the following fields to enter the relevant information:

    Phone logs - Field Names and Descriptions

    • Company: Select the company name for which you are creating this log entry.

    • Call From: Enter the name of the person who called or select their name when it pops up as you begin typing.

    • Call To: Enter the name of the person who received the call or select their name when it pops up as you begin typing.

    • Start Time: Select the time the call started.

    • End Time: Select the time the call ended.

    • Location: Select the project location from the dropdown menu.

    • Comments: Enter any comments or additional information that further describes the entry (if required).

    • Attachments: Tap any of the following options to add photo or file attachments to the entry:

      • Camera: Use your mobile device's camera to take a photo that is automatically added to the entry once you exit the camera.

        • To take a photo without mark up:

          1. Tap the shutter to take a photo.

          2. Tap Done to attach it to the entry.

        • To take a photo with mark up:

          1. Tap Markup to take the photo and immediately mark it up.

          2. Tap the shutter to take a photo.

          3. Mark up the photo.
            Note: If you want to save both the original and the marked up photos, mark the Save as New Photo option and tap Save. If you want to only save your marked up photo, clear the Save as New Photo option and tap Overwrite.

          4. Tap Done to attach it to the entry.

        • To take a video:

          1. Tap Video.

          2. Tap the shutter to start the video.

          3. Tap the shutter again to stop the video.

          4. Tap Done to attach it to the entry.

      • Photos: Tap to select photos from your device's gallery or from Procore's Photos tool in the project.

        • To add photos from Procore's Photos tool:

          1. Tap Procore's Photos tool.

          2. Tap the album that contains photos.

          3. Tap the photo(s) you want to attach.

          4. Tap Done to attach photos to the entry.
            Note: You can also tap Create New Album to add a new photo album to the project. However, you must have 'Standard' or 'Admin' permissions on the Daily Log tool to create an album.

        • To add photos from the device:

          1. Tap Photos from Device.

          2. Tap the required photos.

          3. Tap Done to attach the photos to the entry.

      • Files: Tap on a file from your mobile device to automatically attach it to the entry.

  4. Tap Save.
    The log entry is created or added.

 Tip
  1. Click Fix Errors to navigate to the first empty required field (if the required fields are empty or blank).

  2. Click Next Field or Previous Field to view other empty fields. Once all required fields are filled, you are able to create or save the form.
