Create and Manage Daily Log Segments
Background
You can create and manage multiple daily logs (segments) within the same project on the same day. The log segments help you organize log entries by location, phase, crew, shift, or company — so documentation reflects how work is actually performed on site. Each segment supports its own independent log entry for accurate, relevant data capture. You can assign locations to individual segments — the location is prepopulated when creating entries from that segment.
Project teams can filter log views by segment to focus on the logs most relevant to them. For example, superintendents can focus on their assigned Segments without distraction from other parts of the project. The log segments are also compatible with 360 Reporting for aggregated, project-level analysis.
The log segmentation helps project teams to:
Structure logs in ways that accurately mirror the work being performed - by crew, area, or phase.
Use the tool more effectively for clearer attribution of work and ownership, smoother collaboration, and simpler data review and approvals.
Prepare high-quality project documentation for a larger project or complex reporting.
Note: PDF Exports (include Segment names, organized by Segment ) and Pagination (added to the Segments settings section) capabilities are supported.
