Create and Manage Multiple Daily Log Areas (Beta)

Background

Beta

The Areas (multiple logs per day) feature for the Daily Log tool is available on Procore Explore. Please note that both the feature and its documentation are subject to change without notice during development.
To access Procore Explore, go to Company Tools > Admin, then select Procore Explore from the right-side menu in Company Settings.

The Daily Log tool allows you to create and manage multiple logs within the same project on the same day. It enables you to name or segment logs by Areas, helping teams to organize log entries by location, phase, or shift for improved clarity and accountability.

Each area supports its own set of independent entries. This helps in easy creation, editing, and reporting. With this ability to create and manage multiple daily logs per project, teams can:

  • Structure logs in ways that accurately mirror the work being performed - by crew, area, or phase.

  • Use the tool more effectively for clearer attribution of work and ownership, smoother collaboration, and simpler data review and approvals.

  • Filter logs by Area to focus on the relevant entries - for example, superintendents can view only their assigned Areas without distraction from other parts of the project.

  • Prepare high-quality project documentation for a larger project or complex reporting.
