The Model Manager (Beta) provides a streamlined, high-performance Next-Gen Viewer for design coordination.
The FOV setting dictates the "focal length" of your virtual lens. In the Next-Gen Viewer, this is measured in degrees.

The Next-Gen Viewer camera Field of View (FOV) interprets the 3D space in two projection modes: Perspective (3D) and Orthographic (2D).
Perspective (3D): Objects further away appear smaller, creating a vanishing point, mimicking the human eye. This is the preferred mode for "Fly" walkthroughs and general site orientation because it provides spatial depth for first-person navigation. This is the default mode.
Orthographic (2D): Removes depth distortion. Every object maintains its true scale regardless of its distance from the camera. This is essential for verifying vertical alignments, checking clearances between systems, and producing 2D-style elevation screenshots.

Use these steps to toggle between Perspective (3D) and Orthographic (2D) modes.
Navigate to the Model Manager (Beta) tool.
Open a model.
In the viewer, click the Perspective icon in the right toolbar.
Perspective (3D): Use this for general navigation and first-person walkthroughs.
Orthographic (2D): Use this to verify alignments or to produce 2D-style screen captures.

On the left side of the Next-Gen Viewer is a persistent, vertical toolbar that puts navigation and frequently used design coordination tools at your fingertips. You can move this toolbar around the page.

Click the Items icon to manage your Connected BIM workflows by linking the 3D model to Procore project tools. Use this panel to view linked records, drop 3D pins, or create new items (like Coordination Issues) directly within the 3D model.

Click the 2D Views icon to overlay mapped 2D drawings (PDF) onto the model for precise alignment. You can also convert specific sheets into interactive 2D minimaps to simplify navigation through the 3D space.
Click the Viewpoints icon to create and manage field-ready project views. Use the Right toolbar to adjust the model—such as adding section planes—then save these views to capture specific camera angles and configurations.
Click the Object Tree icon to navigate the model’s structural hierarchy by Levels, Categories, or Families. This tool allows you to isolate specific elements or toggle visibility to focus on relevant model data.
Click the Object Properties icon toaccess detailed metadata for any selected object. View critical information such as dimensions, material types, and any associated Procore item links.
The Navigation Sphere lets you manipulate the 3D orientation of the model by clicking on its faces (for example, Top, Front, Right, and so on), corners, or edges. This snaps the camera to a specific perspective. It is your primary tool for perspective and works best with Orthographic mode. You can also move the sphere around the page.

This toolbar helps to control the visual environment and your interactions with the model. While the left toolbar deals with object data, the right toolbar helps you manipulate the model.

The Navigation Wheel at the bottom of the page provides specialized movement modes to help you explore the 3D space.

Right-click any object in the model to access the Actions menu. These options help you manage object visibility, isolate specific attributes, and navigate the model's details:

Hide > Hide Object | Hides only the selected object from the current view. |
Hide > Hide Similar | Hides all objects in the model that share the same properties as the selected object. |
Select Similar | Selects every object in the model that matches the attributes of your current selection. |
Isolate | Hides all other objects in the model so only your selection remains visible. |
Isolate in X-Ray Mode | Keeps your selection in focus while turning all other objects transparent to provide visual context. |
Zoom to Selection | Adjusts the camera view to focus on the currently selected objects. |
Add Section Plane | Creates a cross-section view at the selected object's location to help you inspect internal model details. |
