Show or Hide Objects in a Model

Background

You can search for a specific object name to automatically apply it as a filter to see all results for the object in the model. All objects beneath the filtered object are automatically included, but you can choose to hide or show objects as necessary.

Things to Consider

Steps

  1. Navigate to the project's Models tool.

  2. Click the model that you want to view in the 3D Model Viewer.

  3. Open the Model Objects window by clicking Objects from the toolbar or using a keyboard shortcut:

    • Windows: ALT + O

    • Mac: OPTION + O

  4. Navigate the object tree:

    • Click Expandicon-arrow-expand.png to view the objects in the branch.

    • Click Collapse icon-arrow-collapse.png to hide the branch.

  5. Mark the checkboxes to show and hide objects.

     Note

The shown icon-eye-show.png icon indicates that an object is shown and the hiddenicon-eye-hide.png icon indicates its hidden.

  6. Optional: To select objects for performing actions, mark the checkboxes next to them.

  7. Optional: To perform an action on an object, click the Object Actions menu and choose one of the available options.

     Tip

Is an object missing from your view? If you can't find an object, it might be hidden or outside your current field of view. Try one of these options in the lower left corner of the window:

    • In the # Objects Hidden box, click Unhide.

    • In the Field of View Modified box, click Reset.
