Use Procore AI Go

Background

Procore AI Go is an iOS mobile app that lets you verbally ask about your Procore project and get audio and text answers back, using your project's Procore data while respecting your existing permissions. This tutorial walks through starting a voice session, verifying an answer, adjusting your settings, and more. For a full overview of what Procore AI Go is and who can use it, see About Procore AI Go.

Things to Consider

  • Availability: The app only works with projects where an administrator has enabled Procore AI. Learn more about app availability and how it’s enabled.

  • Permissions: Procore AI Go follows your existing Procore permissions. To get expected results, you need the necessary permissions in every tool involved in a question.

  • Credits: Procore AI Go consumes Procore Credits for every query.

  • Bluetooth: This app uses whichever microphone and speaker your iPhone is set to use, so you can talk with Procore AI Go through a Bluetooth headset or earbuds connected to your iPhone.

  • Responsibilities:

    • Jobsite safety: Stay aware of your surroundings and follow your jobsite’s safety rules when you use Procore AI Go. Don’t use the app while you operate equipment or a vehicle.

    • Privacy: Ask permission before recording other people or including them in a voice session.

    • Validation: AI can make mistakes. Always check AI answers against your own records before relying on them.

  • For more limits and guidelines, see About Procore AI Go.

Beta Feedback Needed
  • AI answers that aren't helpful: Tap the thumbs-down icon. That signal lets the Procore team diagnose and fix the problem.

  • Interface issues in the app: Take a screenshot, tap on the thumbnail of the photo that briefly appears in the corner, tap theIcon Share 2 Iosshare icon, tap View More, and select Share Beta Feedback. This sends the screenshot to Procore via Apple’s TestFlight app.

Steps

Start a Voice Session

Once you start a voice session, you can pause and restart as many times as you want, and all of those sessions remain inside that conversation until you start a new chat.

  1. Open Procore AI Go and confirm you're in the correct project.

    • To switch projects: Tap the project name at the top of the screen. If you’re already viewing an existing AI conversation, start a new chat to switch projects. To do this, tap theIcon List View 1menu button and then New chat; now you can click on the project name to switch projects.

  2. Tap the circular voice button to start a voice session. The screen confirms the app is listening.
Note: If you enabled ‘Push-to-Talk’ in the app’s settings, the app listens only while you hold the voice button.

  3. Ask your question in everyday language, for example, "Are there any open RFIs??" and then wait. There is no need to tap anything to send your message, just wait.

  4. Listen to or read the response. Ask a follow-up question in the same conversation, or interrupt the response at any time to change topics.
Note: When you’re not speaking, tap the microphone button to mute it so the AI doesn’t hear background noise. Tap it again when you’re ready to unmute and speak to the AI.

  5. Tap the X on the voice button to end the session. This ends the session but not the conversation.

  6. Tap the voice button again to start a new session within the same conversation. Or tap theIcon List View 1menu button and then New chat to start a new, separate conversation within the same project.

Understand voice sessions and context limits

Listening timeout: If the app is listening but detects no speech for 60 seconds, the voice session ends automatically. Tap the voice button to start a new one.

Session length cap: Continuous voice sessions are capped at 14 minutes. When you reach the cap, the live voice stream closes and an on-screen notice appears. Tap the voice button to start a new session.

Context retention: When a session resets, or when you tap the voice button on and then off, the agent keeps your project context and the last 5 question-and-answer pairs. To reference a detail from earlier in the conversation, remind the agent of it or ask the question again.

Review and Verify an Answer

Tap a source card to open an item in the main Procore mobile app, and use the thumbs up or thumbs down buttons to provide feedback to Procore.

  1. Read or listen to the answer. Source cards appear below the response, showing the Procore records the answer drew from, along with each record's status, such as Open, Pending, or Overdue.

  2. Tap a source card to open that record in the main Procore app, where you can confirm the details at the source, take action on it, or update it.

  3. Use the icons below a response to give feedback or copy it:

  • Thumbs up: Tell the team the answer was good.

  • Thumbs down: Flag an answer that was wrong, incomplete, or unhelpful. Always use this when a response misses, so the team can diagnose and improve the response.

  • Copy: Copy the response text.

Note: See the 'Beta Feedback Needed' callout at the beginning of this article for more ways to provide feedback about your experience.

Ask About a Photo

Take a photo or add a screenshot from your iPhone, then ask Procore AI Go about it. Procore AI Go can read text in a photo, summarize a printed form, and answer follow-up questions about what the image shows. Photos you add are not saved to your Procore project, and they are used only in the conversation where you add them. To learn how long Procore AI Go remembers information about a photo, see the Understand Voice Sessions and Context Limits section above.

  1. While in an active listening session, tap the + button at the bottom left of the screen.

  2. Tap an option:

    • Take Photo: Use your camera to capture a new photo, such as a printed form or a posted notice.

    • Photo Library: Choose an existing photo or screenshot from your iPhone.

  3. Ask Procore AI Go to read or describe the photo. For example, say, "What does this form say?"

Continue a Past Chat

  1. Tap theIcon List View 1menu button at the top left of the screen.

  2. Find the conversation you want under Recent chats, or tap Search chats to look for one.

  3. Tap a specific chat to reopen it for viewing or continuing the conversation.

  4. To begin a new, separate conversation instead, tap New chat.

Note: The Recent chats list only includes conversations from the project you're currently in. To see another project's chats, switch projects first.

Adjust Your Settings

  1. Tap theIcon List View 1menu button at the top left.

  2. Tap the settings icon.

  3. Under ‘Account’, tap Credits to check your Procore Credits usage.

  4. Under ‘App’, tap Voice to choose how the AI sounds. Each preset lists its style and pitch, for example, Spark (bright, higher pitch), Sage (informative, lower pitch), or Crest (firm, lower middle pitch). Tap a preset to select it. A checkmark marks your current choice.

  5. Turn on Push-to-Talk so the app listens only while you hold the voice button. This helps in noisy areas.

  6. Turn on Log in with Face ID to sign in with Face ID instead of entering your credentials.

  7. To sign out of the app, tap Log out.

Troubleshooting

The app stops responding or shows an error. Confirm you have an active internet connection over cellular data or Wi-Fi. If your connection is stable but the voice stream won't clear, force-close the app and reopen it. If the problem continues, take a screenshot and submit it through Submit Beta Feedback in TestFlight.

You don't see any project data after logging in. Your project may not have Procore AI enabled, or your account may not have the Procore AI permission yet. Confirm with your Procore administrator that setup is complete. See Set Up Procore AI Go.
