Import Locations into your Project Level Admin Tool (Procore Imports)

Background

You can use the Procore Imports app to self-import your locations hierarchy in bulk to your Project's Admin tool. This will add up to six-tiered locations to your project in Procore. If you need to add more tiers, they can be created manually. For additional information see What are multi-tiered locations?

Things to Consider

  • Required User Permissions:

    • 'Admin' level permissions on the Project's Admin tool.
Note: Granular Permissions are not supported in the Procore Imports application.

  • Additional Information:

    • This feature is only available to computers running Windows 10 or newer. See Install Procore Imports.

    • This import can only be used to add locations. Your import will not edit or delete any existing locations in your project.

    • Procore's multi-tiered locations feature does not integrate with any location-related custom segment segments that you create for Work Breakdown Structure.

Prerequisites

Steps

  1. In your Procore Imports App, on the "Companies & Projects" page, select the company and project you want to import locations into.

  2. Click Continue.

  3. Under 'Locations', click Add New Locations.
Note: You can import no more than six-tiered locations. If you have more than six, you must manually create the remaining locations after importing the first six tiers.

  4. Choose from the following options:

  5. Choose Select Template File to upload an XLSX or CSV file of your locations from your local device.

  6. Click Process.

  7. Review your locations.
Note: If there are any errors in the import, a list of the errors will be provided. You can then "Save Errors to continue" to download a copy of the errors to compare against your original import file.

  8. Choose from the following options:

    • Save records to computer: Select this option to save your records as an XLSX or CSV file and return to complete the import process at another time.

    • Import to Procore: Select this option to proceed with the import process.

  9. Confirm your decision to import your locations by clicking Finish.
