Upload Drawings for Takeoffs

Background

Uploading drawings is the first step in the takeoff process. By bringing your plans into Procore Estimating, you can use digital measurement tools to calculate areas, lengths, and counts directly on the drawing. These measurements then flow into your estimate, ensuring your material and labor costs are based on accurate project dimensions.

Things to Consider

  • Required User Permissions:

    • ‘Standard’ or ‘Admin’ level permissions on the project’s Estimating tool.
      AND

    • 'Admin' permissions on the project’s Drawings tool.

  • Additional Information:

    • After uploading, you must set the drawing scale before performing measurements.

    • You can upload multiple drawings at once to build your plan set.

    • Existing takeoffs remain associated with the original drawing version unless you use the Compare tool to align and verify measurements against the new revision. For more information, see Manage Drawing Revisions for Takeoffs.
