Capture a Photo with Insta360 Camera (Android)
Background
You can experience the native 360° photo capture with Insta360 camera using the Procore's mobile app (Android). You can pair your mobile device directly with an Insta360 camera via Bluetooth and view a live preview from the Insta360 camera inside Procore app. You can capture 360° photos that are automatically added to the Procore photo session tray, without leaving the app or using a separate camera application.
The streamlined connection to Insta360 camera allows field teams to capture immersive site conditions effortlessly and ensure that high-quality, 360-degree visual data is immediately accessible to all project stakeholders.
Things to Consider
Required User Permissions:
'Standard' or 'Admin' level permissions on the project's Photos tool.
Additional Information:
You can upload 360˚ photos from your phone to Procore's app.
Steps
Navigate to the project's Photos tool using an Android mobile device.
Tap the plus
icon.Tap Camera..
To pair an Insta360 camera directly to the Procore mobile app via Bluetooth, click the 360° icon when the camera is active and discoverable.
You are prompted to connect to the device. You can also search for another device and select it for pairing.Click Connect.
You are connected to the camera's Wi-Fi network. Depending on your mobile device's capabilities, this pairing process may disconnect you from the Internet. When you are connected, you can see a live preview from the camera.
Note: A first-time connection can often take a while.Tap the shutter to capture a photo.
Note: The camera may take a while to capture and upload the photo to the Procore photo session tray.Go to the photo session tray and open the photo you captured.
You can view the photo in 360° image viewer.Once you are done with the 360° photo session, disconnect from the insta360 camera and reconnect to your previous Wi-Fi network.
