You can download the Procore BIM Plugin directly from the Procore web application to any Windows® computer running supported Autodesk® software.

About the Unified Procore BIM Plugin

In January 2026, Procore consolidated its legacy plugins into a single, unified Procore BIM Plugin. The standalone Documents plugin and VDC plugins have been retired. See Procore BIM Plugin: Consolidation & Update History.

Which plugins do I need? Show/Hide Details

  • Only the Procore BIM Plugin

    • Use for: Coordination workflows, file management, model publishing, and managing locations.

    • Download from: The project's Coordination Issues, Documents, Models tool or the Locations utility in the project's Admin tool.

Do I need to uninstall the legacy plugins? Show/Hide Details

No. This transition was designed to be seamless. If you already have the legacy Documents or VDC plugin installed, the transition happens silently in the background when you receive the update required notification. See When are mandatory updates released for the Procore BIM Plugin?

Things to Consider

  • Required User Permissions: To download the installer, you need permission to a Procore project tool. You only need to install the plugin once from any tool:

    • Coordination Issues (Project): 'Standard' or 'Admin' level permissions

    • Documents (Project): 'Read Only' level permissions or higher

    • Locations (Beta): 'Admin' level permissions

    • Locations (Legacy) in Admin (Project): 'Admin' level permissions

    • Models (Project): 'Standard' or 'Admin' level permissions

    Support Lifecycle Policy

    Procore aligns its support lifecycle with Autodesk’s active versioning to ensure the best possible experience. While its plugins may function on older versions (e.g., 2019), official support is categorized as follows:

    • Active Support (Versions 2023–2026) Procore offers comprehensive support for these versions, covering everything from plugin-specific inquiries to fixes for underlying Autodesk® dependencies.

    • Limited Support (Versions 2021–2022) Procore provides support for issues specific to the Procore BIM Plugin, but cannot address stability issues caused by the Autodesk® platform itself.

  • PC Administrator Rights: Requires Windows® Administrator rights to install the plugin. If you don't have rights, contact your organization's IT Administrator.

  • Installation: Install the Procore BIM Plugin on the same Windows computer as your Autodesk software. You can complete the installation without administrator permissions.

Steps

You can download the Procore BIM Plugin directly to a Windows® computer running your Autodesk® design software from any of these Procore project tools. You only need to install the plugin once.

To download the installer from the project's Coordination Issues tool Show/Hide Details

  1. On a Windows computer, navigate to the project's Coordination Issues tool in Procore.

  2. Click Download Plugin.

  3. Read the Terms and Conditions and click Accept. Procore downloads the installer to your web browser's Downloads folder.

  4. Go to your Downloads folder and click the setup package to start the install.

  5. At the Welcome to the Setup Wizard prompt, click Next.

  6. At the License Agreement, read the Software Terms and Conditions and choose I Agree. Then click Next.

  7. At the Confirm Installation prompt, click Next to start the installation.

  8. At the Installation Complete prompt, click Close to exit.

You can now open your Autodesk® Navisworks®, Revit®, or AutoCAD® design software on your Windows® computer. A 'Procore' tab is visible in the program.

To download the installer from the project's Documents tool Show/Hide Details

  1. On a Windows computer, navigate to the project's Documents tool in Procore.

  2. Click Configure Settings.

  3. With the General tab selected, scroll down to Download Tools.

    This is a partial SUI that shows the Download Procore BIM button in the project's Documents tool.

  4. Under Procore BIM, click Download Procore BIM. Procore downloads the installer to your web browser's Downloads folder.

  5. Go to your Downloads folder and click the setup package to start the install.

  6. At the Welcome to the Setup Wizard prompt, click Next.

  7. At the License Agreement, read the Software Terms and Conditions and choose I Agree. Then click Next.

  8. At the Confirm Installation prompt, click Next to start the installation.

  9. At the Installation Complete prompt, click Close to exit.

You can now open your Autodesk® Navisworks®, Revit®, or AutoCAD® design software on your Windows computer. A 'Procore' tab is visible in the program.

To download the installer from the project's Locations (Beta) tool Show/Hide Details

  1. On a Windows computer, navigate to the project's Locations tool.

  2. Click the Import button on the top right side of the Locations page.

  3. Click Download BIM Plugin.
    The Procore+BIM+Plugins+Setup Windows Installer Package is downloaded to your computer's default Downloads folder.

  4. To install the Procore BIM Plugin, do the following:

    1. Go to your Downloads folder and click the setup package to start the installation.
      A setup wizard prompt appears.

    2. At the setup prompt, click Next.

    3. At the License Agreement prompt, read the Software Terms and Conditions and choose I Agree. Then, click Next.

    4. At the the Confirm Installation prompt, click Next to start the installation.

    5. At the Installation Complete prompt, click Close to exit.
      You can now open your Autodesk® design software on your Windows® computer. A 'Procore' tab is visible in the program.

To download the installer from the Locations (Legacy) utility in the project's Admin tool Show/Hide Details

  1. On a Windows computer, navigate to the project's Admin tool in Procore.

  2. Under Project Settings, click Locations (Legacy).

  3. In the blue banner, click Download Revit® Plugin. Procore downloads the installer to your web browser's Downloads folder.

  4. Go to your Downloads folder and click the setup package to start the install.

  5. At the Welcome to the Setup Wizard prompt, click Next.

  6. At the License Agreement, read the Software Terms and Conditions and choose I Agree. Then click Next.

  7. At the Confirm Installation prompt, click Next to start the installation.

  8. At the Installation Complete prompt, click Close to exit.

To download the installer from the project's Models tool Show/Hide Details

  1. On a Windows® computer, navigate to the project's Models tool in Procore.

  2. Click Download Plugin.
