What projects can be connected?
Any active projects can be connected. The names of the project do not need to match.
Currently, a receiving project can only connect to one sending project. A receiving can NOT connect to other sending or receiving projects. However, a sending project can support multiple receiving projects.
Example
If a General Contractor is the sending company they can have multiple receiving projects belonging to their subcontractors.
However, if that subcontractor works with another subcontractor, they cannot serve as the sending project and connect with another receiving project.
What is the Connection Manager?
Connection Manager is a Project level tool within Procore where project connections can be initiated and managed.
Who can initiate a project connection?
A connection can only be initiated by a receiving project.
Who is notified about Connections?
By default, anyone with current 'Admin' permission to the Connection Manager tool, and added to that project's Directory will receive a notification. If you want different users to be notified, you can configure the email notification distribution list in each project's Connection Manager settings. See Connection Manager: Configure Advanced Settings.
Who can terminate a project connection?
Either the sending project or the receiving project can disconnect at any time.
RFIs and Submittals: Permanent tool-level disablement has been replaced by an Inactive state. This allows users to self-serve to pause, re-enable, and modify data flow directions (Sending or Receiving) at any time without destroying the underlying connection foundations.
Drawings: Disabling a connection remains permanent. Once a Drawings connection is disconnected by either account, it cannot be reconnected.

Is a connection impacted if the user who created the connection is removed from my Directory?
No. Once the connection is created, the permissions of the receiving user in the sending project are not related to the connection status. If a sending company wants to stop the connection, they can disconnect the projects in the Connection Manager tool. For more information, see Disconnect Connected Projects.
