Considerations

  • Only the receiving company account can initiate a connection with a sending account's project.

  • A sending project can support connections with multiple receiving projects. For example, multiple subcontractor companies (receiving) projects can connect to a single general contractor (sending) project and receive drawings.

  • A receiving project can only connect with one sending project.

  • 'Admins' of the Connection Manager tool at either the sending or receiving project can disconnect projects at any time.

  • RFIs and Submittals: Permanent tool-level disablement has been replaced by an Inactive state. This allows users to self-serve to pause, re-enable, and modify data flow directions (Sending or Receiving) at any time without destroying the underlying connection foundations.

  • Drawings: Disabling a connection remains permanent. Once a Drawings connection is disconnected by either account, it cannot be reconnected.
