Import Equipment Records to the Company Equipment Tool
Background
Procore's Equipment tool ensures all machines are optimally used and effectively managed from arrival to departure. The company's Equipment tool is a registry of your company's owned or rented equipment for your job sites. When equipment is assigned to projects, it is added to the Project's Equipment tool where it can be used in Inspections, Timesheets, Daily Log, T&M Tickets, and your Budget.
You can import your equipment into the Equipment tool instead of creating the records manually. You can also re-import to make bulk updates to your equipment records.
Things to Consider
Imported equipment categories, types, makes, models, and custom statuses are added to the tool's configuration settings.
The fields Equipment ID, Status Type, Status, Category, Type and Ownership are required.
If using the following custom statuses, the must have the following status types:
'Available' needs an 'Available' status type.
'Active' needs an 'In Use' status type.
'Inactive' needs an 'Unavailable' status type.
To update your equipment in bulk, re-import the file. Matching Equipment IDs will update automatically.
The document must be in .xlsx format.
Prepare Equipment Records for Import
Navigate to the company's Equipment tool.
Click Import.
Click Download Excel Template to download the template.
Enter your equipment information into the spreadsheet.
Save the file.
Import
Navigate to the company's Equipment tool.
Click Import.
Select whether to add or update equipment records.
Click Create New to create new equipment records.
Click Update Existing to update equipment records already in your registry.
Select the file.
Click Upload .xlsx File and select the prepared equipment file.
Drag and drop the prepared equipment file from you computer to the upload box.
Click Upload.
