The Procore Mobile app (iOS/Android) features a functional Walk mode inside the Next-Gen Viewer that is adapted specifically for touchscreens. Instead of keyboard-and-mouse controls, the mobile app uses dual virtual joysticks on screen.

  • Left Joystick: Moves your position forward, backward, left, and right (walking).

  • Right Joystick / Touch Drag: Rotates your camera view (looking around) or tilts your perspective.

Touch gestures like two-finger pinches (zoom) and single-finger drags complement these controls, making 3D model navigation intuitive on phone and tablet displays.

Things to Consider

  • Required User Permissions

  • Additional Information:

    • In the Procore web application, increase or decrease the camera's walkthrough speed by moving your cursor further from or closer to the click point.

    • In the Procore mobile app (iOS/Android), walkthrough is adapated to use touch-friendly on-screen joysticks and direct hand gestures.

Steps

To control walkthrough speed and movement on your mobile device:

  1. Adjust speed with the Walk joystick:

    • Drag the middle Walk joystick in any direction to move forward, backward, or sideways.

    • Your camera’s walkthrough velocity is controlled by how far you drag the joystick handle away from its center point.

    • Dragging the handle slightly moves the camera at a slower pace, while dragging it further toward the outer edge increases your walkthrough speed.

  2. Rotate your perspective:

    • Drag the right-most Look joystick in any direction to rotate your camera view from a fixed position.

  3. Zoom instantly to an object:

    • If you want to bypass walking through the model entirely, double-tap any physical object in the 3D viewer.

    • The camera will instantly center and zoom directly to that object's visual boundaries.

  4. Adjust your vertical height:

    • Drag the left-most Up/Down joystick upward to move the camera vertically up, or downward to move vertically down.
