Procore Model Manager - Beta Access & Feedback

The Model Manager (Beta) tool is exclusively available to registered beta participants. It is not available through Procore Explore. To learn more, see Beta Participant Guide.

  • To access the beta and provide feedback Show/Hide Details

    • To register: Participating companies must sign the Procore Beta Agreement. Once signed, your Procore Administrator coordinates with your Procore point of contact to enable Model Manager (Beta) on specific Procore projects.

    • To Provide Feedback During Beta: Contact your dedicated Beta program lead.

    • To report issues: Report breaking changes to Procore Customer Support. For general feedback or non-critical issues, contact your Beta program lead or Procore point of contact.

  • Notice: Procore Beta Services & Documentation Show/Hide Details

For information about Beta Services, see the Procore Subscription Services Agreement. This documentation supports a product currently in Beta; content is actively being developed for General Availability (GA) and may be incomplete.

    • As-Is Basis: Provided solely for evaluation purposes on an "as is" basis.

    • No Warranties: Standard contractual commitments do not apply. This information carries no formal product commitments, and Procore assumes no liability for harm arising from its use.

    • Subject to Change: Procore may change, discontinue, or choose not to generally release these Beta Services at any time without notice.

Procore is finalizing functionality and documentation for general availability in the UK and Ireland (UKI). Please check back here for updates.

Steps

Follow these guidelines to learn how to use the navigation toolbar. The navigation toolbar is available in Assets, Documents, Document Management, and the Model Manager (Beta).

Purpose

Best Used For

This image shows the Home button on the Navigation Toolbar Home

Instantly resets the camera to the model's original starting position and default zoom level.

Re-orienting view: Returning to the baseline project view after navigating deep into sub-assemblies or losing camera orientation.

Displays a menu giving you access to select one of these modes: Default (V), Orbit (O), and Walk (F).

Selecting camera controls: Matching your navigation style to your current task (broad viewing, object inspection, or walking the site).

-Default (V)

Locks the camera to a fixed position while letting you look around the scene, pan, or orbit relative to the view center.

General model inspection: Broad site navigation, panning across floor levels, and reviewing overall model layout without locking onto a single object.

-Orbit (O)

Anchors the camera target to a specific surface point on a selected 3D object so you can rotate 360 degrees around that element.

Object-centric inspection: Rotating 360 degrees around a specific piece of equipment, valve, or structural component to inspect it from all angles.

-Walk (F)

Moves the camera dynamically through the 3D environment at varying speeds, simulating a real-world site walk-through.

First-person interior walkthroughs: Navigating through hallways, rooms, and complex interior mechanical spaces as if walking the physical jobsite.

Perspective/Orthographic

Switch between Perspective and Orthographic projection mode.

Elevation & alignment checks: Toggling to Orthographic mode to eliminate depth distortion for true planar/elevation alignment checks, or Perspective for realistic 3D viewing.

Render Modes

Toggle to show or hide Mesh, Lines, and Point Clouds.

Customizing visual context: Turning specific geometry types ON or OFF to optimize performance or isolate distinct visual layers.

-Mesh

Show or hide solid 3D surfaces, faces, and volumetric bodies (for example, walls, structural steel, HVAC ductwork, piping, equipment, and building envelopes).

Standard 3D design viewing: Inspecting physical trade geometry, or hiding solid surfaces to focus exclusively on linework or laser scan data.

-Lines

Show or hide 2D and 3D vector lines, wireframe outlines, structural gridlines, and CAD edge drawings.

Edge & gridline clarity: Reviewing precise CAD linework and grid coordinates, or hiding lines to reduce visual clutter in dense MEP models.

-Point Clouds

Show or hide dense 3D reality laser can data consisting of spatial XYC coordination points.

As-built vs. design verification: Comparing physical jobsite laser scans directly against 3D design models to spot discrepancies.

X-Ray

Increases transparency to see obscured components without hiding geometry.

Inspecting hidden MEP systems: Viewing concealed pipes, conduits, or ductwork behind walls, ceilings, or slabs while keeping structural context visible.
