What are the default project stages in Procore?

Procore provides the following default project stages that your company can use to define each project's current stage of construction:

• Concept (a new project stage type available to some accounts)

• Bidding

• Pre-Construction

• Course of Construction

• Post-Construction

• Warranty

Default stages can be deleted only when not in use. To enable deletion, transition projects to another existing or custom stage.
​​​​​​​Note: Concept projects are the only default stage that cannot be deleted.

• Stage transitions: A project's stage of construction is first selected when creating the project, but can be updated later by users with the appropriate permissions on the Project level Admin tool. See Change a Project's Stage of Construction.

• Custom stages: Users with the appropriate permissions can also create (and delete) custom project stages in the Company level Admin tool. See Add a Custom Project Stage.
