What types of assets should I track in the Assets tool?

The Assets tool is designed for fixed, maintainable components that are installed or commissioned in a built environment — for example, HVAC systems, chillers, switchgear, fire protection systems, boilers, pumps, electrical panels, and air handling units. It is not designed for tracking movable or mobile equipment (such as cranes, excavators, or fleet vehicles), consumable materials (such as lumber or concrete), or real estate portfolios at the building or address level.
