Background
Procore automatically calculates the latitude and longitude values of a project each time someone enters or updates the project's address in the Project level Admin tool. However, project admin can manually enter different 'Latitude' and 'Longitude' values of the Geographic Coordinate System (GCS) for a construction project's job site. Updates to the project address affect geographical coordinates
Each time someone enters, re-enters, or changes the project's address, Procore automatically updates the latitude and longitude coordinates to match. If your project is using different geographical coordinates, you'll need to manually update them in the Project level Admin tool each time the project address is entered or updated.
Procore uses the geographical coordinates to display current weather information on the Project Home page. For projects using Resource Tracking, a tool administrator can also use these coordinates to set up a geofence that reminds employees to log their time when they enter or exit the geofence’s boundaries.
