Isolate Model Items

Background

Use Isolate to view and analyze specific areas of your model. Isolate provides a focused perspective on selected clashes or individual model items while surrounding model elements remain visible for context.

  • Easily resize the isolated area.

  • Zoom to view the details within the isolated area.

  • Save a viewpoint from the Isolate view, including the active section box.

  • Add clashes to the section box.

Things to Know

  • Required User Permissions:

    • 'Standard' or 'Admin' level permissions on the project's Coordination Issues tool.

Steps

  1. In the Navisworks® Clash Detective, select the specific clash or clash group you wish to isolate.

  2. Choose an option:

    • Click Isolate in Procore Clash Manager.

    • Right-click the clash in the model and select Isolate items.

    • Select a model item, and choose Isolate from the Item Tools.

  3. Review the Isolated View. The model highlights your selected clash with a 3D bounding box. This details the area and its surroundings.

  4. Work in Isolated View as follows:

    • Move the handles to resize the bounding box.

    • Click Zoom to center your view on the isolated area.

    • Click Save Viewpoint.
