Considerations
No change to RFI creation process.
No new custom notifications for External RFIs.
For an RFI to sync to a receiving project, the connected user must meet both of the following requirements:
Permissions: Must be the RFI Creator, Manager, Assignee, or on the Distribution List.
Validation: Must be a validated connection via the Connection Manager tool.
Auto-Link RFI Revisions: Revisions auto-link only upon closure. Draft or Open stage revisions do not auto-link. Auto-linking applies to both Cross-Account Collaboration and manually linked RFIs, tracking every revision in the Change History of both local and external RFIs.
Permanent tool-level disablement has been replaced by an Inactive state. This change allows you to pause, re-enable, and modify data flow directions (Sending or Receiving) at any time without destroying the underlying connection foundations.
Cross-Account Collaboration (Open Beta): Receiving project teams can now toggle on self-service collaboration in Connection Manager to export active RFIs directly to a Sending project, automatically generating a linked Draft RFI in the Sending account while tracking live status updates, field changes, and official responses in real time from their own account.
If both the sending and receiving projects belong to the same company account, private RFIs sync by default and do not require the specific permission or connection checks.
Both Sending and Receiving projects support unlimited, independent project connections per tool. Disconnecting one project never affects the others.
After the sync is complete, a user's ability to view or manage the RFI in the receiving project is governed by their local RFI tool permissions.
Project connections can only be initiated by the receiving project.
Connections can only be made with ‘active’ projects. Inactive projects are not supported.
GovCloud accounts will not be able to participate in a project connection.
