Link Sub Assets to a Parent Asset

Background

You can link the sub assets within a parent asset so that all parts of the asset are accounted for, along with their parent and child relationships.

Asset Type Hierarchy Example
  • HVAC (Level 1)

    • Air Handling Unit (Level 2)

      • Supply Fan (Level 3)

    • Chiller (Level 2)

    • Boiler (Level 2)

Icon Permissions Access Check You could link all Supply Fans to the parent Air Handling Unit. And all Air Handling Units, Chillers, and Boilers to the parent HVAC system.
