Add Items to a Message in the Conversations Tool (iOS)

• Required User Permissions:

  • You must exist in a project's Directory.
    Note: You can only add items from the project that you have access to.

• Additional Information:

  • You can add up to 10 attachments to a message.

  • The maximum file size for an attachment is 100MB.

  • You will only see items that already exist in the project and that you have permission to view.

  • To see which files can be previewed in Procore's viewer, see Preview a File in the Project Level Documents Tool.

  • If you want to remove a file or item that you've added before sending the message, click the x next to the item's name.

1. Open the Procore app on an iOS device.

2. Tap the project's Conversations tool.

3. Start a new message or open an existing conversation. See Send a Message in the Conversations Tool (iOS).

4. Tap the plus iconand select one of the following options: Note: Click an option below to view additional steps.

   • Take Photo: Allows you to take one or more photos to add to the message.

   • Choose from Library: Allows you to choose photos from your device.

   • Files from Device: Allows you to choose files from your device.

   • Procore Items: Allows you to add files or link to items from the project.

5. When you are ready to send your message, tap the send icon.

Take Photo

1. From your message, tap the plus icon and select Take Photo.

2. Take one or more photos using your device. Each photo will automatically attach to the message.

3. When you're done taking photos, tap the x to exit the camera.

Choose from Library

1. From your message, tap the plus icon and select Choose From Library.

2. Select one or more photos from your device.

3. Tap Add to attach the photos to your message.

Files from Device

1. From your message, tap the plus icon and select Files from Device.

2. Select one or more photos from your device.

3. Tap Open to attach the files to your message.

Procore Items

Note: You will only see items that already exist in the project and that you have permission to view.

1. From your message, tap the plus icon and select Procore Items.

2. Use the search bar and filters to find one or more items that you want to add to the message.

3. Mark the checkbox next to each item you want to add.

4. Tap Attach.
