View the Assignments Boards

Background

The Assignments Boards allows you to see a single-day view of all active people and projects. You can see all active projects along with the resource requests and resource assignments for each project. You can also set defaults for how you want to view the Assignments Boards.

Beta

  1. Navigate to the Company level Resource Planning tool.

  2. Click Assignments and select Boards (Beta).

  3. Click the configure Icon Ag Grid Table Filter Menu icon.

    • Schedule Changes

      • Select how to set the dates for an assignment.

        Show/Hide Fields

        • Assign to Project End Date

        • Choose an End Date Upon Each Change

        • Single Day

    • Width

      • Select the column width of the boards page.

    • View Options

      • Select to display card as Compact or Expanded.

    • Project Fields

      • Move the toggles Icon Toggle On ON or Icon Toggle Off OFF to show or hide Project information.

        Show/Hide Fields

        • Project Number. The project's number.

        • Start/End Date. The project's start and end dates.

        • Start/End Times. The project's start and end times.

        • Estimated Average Rate. The estimated average rate, as set in your project's details.

        • Daily Rate. The daily cost. Calculated as the sum of all assignment costs for the day.

        • Daily Burn. The average cost of that day. Calculated as the daily cost divided by the total hours for that day.

        • Project Tags. Tags related to the project.

        • Resource Breakdown. How many assignments and requests are scheduled for that day.

    • Resource Fields

      • Move the toggles Icon Toggle On ON or Icon Toggle Off OFF to show or hide Resource information.

        Show/Hide Fields

        • Employee ID. The The resource's employee ID.

        • Job Title. The resource's job title.

        • Phone Number. The resource's phone number.

        • Tags. Any tags related to the resource.

        • Total Assignment Range. The start and end dates of the assignment.

        • Allocation Information. The resource's allocation for the assignment.

        • Rate Information. The resource's rate information.

        • Address. The resource's address.

        • Show Profile Picture. Whether or not to show the resource's profile picture.

Legacy

Configure your Default View

  1. Navigate to the Company level Resource Planning tool.

  2. Click the Configure Settings Icons Settings Gear icon.

  3. Click View Preferences.

  4. Locate the 'Boards Page' section and update the following settings:

    • Resource Bench - Card Subtitles. Select to update what information displays under the person's name in the 'resource bench'. See What is the 'resource bench' in Resource Planning?

    • Project Boards - Card Subtitles. Select to update what information displays under the person's name for resource assignments, and under the job title for resource requests.

    • Show Requests per Viewing Day Only. Move the toggle to the ON position to only show resource requests for the day you are viewing on the Assignments Boards.

  5. Click Save.

  6. Click Assignments and select Boards.

  7. Navigate to the Configure Icon Gear Wfp icon on the Assignment Boards and update the following setting:

    • Multiple Column Layout. Mark the checkbox to show two columns of projects.

  8. Click Apply.

View the Assignments Boards

  1. Navigate to the Company level Resource Planning tool.

  2. Click Assignments and select Boards.

  3. Select the Group.

  4. Select your date.

  5. Click Save.

View the Assignment Board for a Specific Project

  1. Navigate to the Company level Resource Planning tool.

  2. Click Projects and select Project List.

  3. Click the project name.

  4. Click View Board.
    Note: Additional projects may show if the there are projects with similar names.
